Today was my third day in Hanoi, Vietnam after 3 years and I definitely made up for lost time! I headed out for the ultimate Mixed Pho Bo (beef pho with everything) in Hanoi with no other than @Paddy Doyle We also tried Pho Cuon, beef wrapped in rice paper that is said to have originated on this street. Phở cuốn is everywhere on this ‘island’, we counted at least 5 different shops all selling the same thing.

This was Vietnamese Street Food at its finest!

*Disclaimer: I know this isn’t called Phở Island, we just names it that as it’s A. An Island in Tây Hồ Lake and B. There is Phở and Phở Cuốn EVERYWHERE!

We headed to an extremely popular old Pho shop called Phở Thế Béo where the owner delivers the pho on a self balancing scooter! This is in the top

To get to Phở Tàu Bay (Áo Đỏ), follow the Google Maps link below:5 best pho I’ve had for what that’s worth – 40-100K VND

Next we headed for Pho Cuon at Phở Cuốn Hương Mai – 80K VND

My name’s Gary and I’ve been living in Bangkok for the past five plus years and travelling Thailand for over ten. I’m obsessed with Thai street food and it’s that obsession that led me to start this YouTube channel. I want to share my favourite hidden spots in Bangkok and the rest of Thailand so you can fall in love with authentic, local Thai food as much as I have!

I’ve never understood travelling to a town or city and not eating the local food. How else do you really connect with a place? Let’s get out and explore together and I guarantee you’ll find a whole different side to this wonderful country.

If you love seeing off the beaten path, non-touristy, local life and authentic local life in Bangkok and Thailand then this is the channel for you. If go go bars on the Sukhumvit Road are more your thing (I’m not judging) then maybe not!
