Wow smart guys. Good luck
ππ»π
Cute couple! Your both going to have such a beautiful family when the time comes!π΅βπ«πΆπ΄π§ΈπΌ
Great video. Love the floor
I would really strongly recommend getting some sound damping on every single panel in there. More important than complete coverage of each panel is getting something on every panel. Even if you buy cheap sound deadening for the roof I'd still strongly recommend doing it. It'll make a huge difference.
Great to see the van coming together, Oh forgot it's name (Opp's) Oh well, any who you've done quite well with what you have accomplished so far. See you later this week and as always, "Enjoy The Adventure." π€ πβ
Hi guys I think the main thing is condensation.
I think you two are so smart and have got it altogether. Godspeed with safe travels
Totally just saw your bus for sale online lol. Love it! Your bus design on the inside is actually the biggest influence for our skoolie build to come! JUST BOUGHT OUR BUS! Got to pick it up this weekend. Will be crushing the videos on your bus build haha.
Sound Deadening mat makes a big difference. I've now used it in multiple vehicles and am getting ready to put some in a boat. You can get it in different thicknesses, but my personal experience tells me the difference between 50 mil and 80 mil is minimal if even noticeable, I haven't used anything thicker. Love watching these videos! You guys are a great source of entertainment, learning and ideas!
how did you scribe for your floor? did you use the original mat and then laid it in the van from there?
You guys are awesome.
Carry on, living the dream β¨ πΆ π π π β€
I'm trying to get insurance for my van that was "self converted". I'm also looking for ideas on where to go find the arm to hold my power chair on the outside. I heard there are powered lift for the outside.
Congrats on the new van. Looks really nice. You guys work great together. Can't wait for the next video.
Can you drive with the maxx air open?
From your video installing the roof max fans, I can't tell which direction they open. In other words, you wouldn't want to be driving down the road with the vent opening towards the front cause you will tear off the top from the wind resistance. They need to open towards the rear so you can drive the highway with the vent open but with the closed end facing the front of the van. Hope this makes sense or perhaps you did install correctly but we couldn't tell.
As for the floor covering, I would have glued down LVP (luxury vinyl plank) to the plywood because the click type floating floor material IS NOT waterproof. Once you get in and out of the van with wet shoes or spill liquids on the floor your installing now, that cardboard material under the veneer will warp like crazy. Take an extra piece, pour water on it and let it sit overnight. You will regret you didn't glue down waterproof LVP instead.
The reason your plywood didnt adhere to the vans metal flooring is because you treated the wood with Thompsons water seal. Liquid nails and Thompson wont bond. Screwing the plywood to the van floor was the best option. Now if screws passed thru the vans floors, make sure you silicon the pointy ends on the underside so water cannot splash up into the screw holes. The silicon will also prevent the screws from wiggiling loose.
Looking good your on a mission obviously
And I like the overhauls nice touch.
When are your T shirts coming out?
Yeah, I like the vanβs nameπ
I agree with Cody W, get sound deadening on the roof panels! They will get boomy. I love your use of the jersey barriers for saw horses, LOL. So glad you sealed all the plywood, I can't tell you how many people just seal one side. The Reflectix will help with sag but that's all, but you know that. The floor looks great. So happy you got a Ram! You guys are such converter pros!! Safe and wonderful Travels
Over the past couple of week I have been binge watching your videos. Loved the bus build series, and I think Iβm going to love the van build series!! Think you guys are great, and you put out some awesome videos. All the best!!
Awesome Job on this video! π you look really tomboyish in those Overalls you look really cute in them and you look really cool in those overalls! You make a great overalls duo! π You both should definately wear them more!
Loved your videos on the Grand Canyon, Zion and Arches. Brought back memories of when my wife and I visited them back in 2009. Thank you!!
The matching bibs is cute. They are great to wear when working. Be safe.
You two are like professionals now, when are you opening J&N Custom Van Builds. π
Come on man clean that floor properly, so that the work you do comes out nice….π€
Awesome job. And it's so good to see you both.
Impressive work output. You guys work together well as a mini crew. Im learning a lot when you explain things. Keep going. I'm taking notes. πππ ππ
Are you going to get a side step? Looks like it's a bit tall for Natalie.
