A big thank you to @Vessi for sponsoring this video. It was an absolute pleasure to get to meet up in Vegas with Dan from @DanVsWorld and @Norma Geli to share an amazing Filipino meal together. The exquisite modern take on the Filipino classic comfort food spurred on my appetite the next day for some more Filipino food the next day in Vegas.

As luck would have it, there are plenty of great Filipino restaurants right outside the Vegas Strip that offers incredible value. From the well known places like Jollibee and Red Ribbon, to unique and exotic Filipino street food, Vegas has it all. Believe it or not, there’s even an incredible Filipino Buffet for only $14!

A quick drive off the strip took me to a Toto’s Grill where Sam was nice enough to introduce me to some of the more unique and adventurous Filipino Fare. From intestines, chicken head, pork blood and more.. a very enjoyable experience (aside from the grilled pork blood) and a memorable one! Highly recommend!

And it gets better as I discovered a great Filipino Buffet two blocks away called Kusina Ni Lorraine. Upon entering, memories for Manila are brought back; from the decor of the restaurant/market to the friendly greeting from Paul, this is the Philippines at it’s best! Incredible value at $14 with the Kare Kare, pork blood stew, lechon and more!

  1. I just called and they said they don't have a buffet and you have to pay for skewers per piece. Was the buffet not including the skewers a flate rare?

  2. Eating chicken heads, feets, intestines, blood is a new low. Shock eating for views has entered the picture. Disappointed.

  3. I'm always so happy to see your videos! Thank you so much for sharing your food and travel adventures! I must say you jumped right into the pool when trying pig blood cake! And a trooper containing with trying pig blood. Again Thank you. I'm doing reconnaissance for my wedding and you have helped so very much! Enjoy your evening. JoAnn Sigby

  4. Your "shudder" reaction to the one skewer was funny. Nice to see you meet up with Jorge and Norma. Did I see you on Norma's meet & greet?

  5. I kept shaking my head and squinting my eyes thinking "I'm not eating that!" to 98% of what you showcased with the skewers. 15:25, ugh yea…I'll pass on the "extra aroma" but thank you. If you are aware of what the function of the intestine is for…I'd be reluctant to eat it. I don't care what people say about how they "extra cleaned it first", forget it…not eating that! That "meaty goodness" in the chicken head is the brain….I'm not eating that either!

  6. Personally, I did not care for Toto's that much. While I am relatively familiar with Filipino cuisine, I could not get any answers from the staff on certain items. The items we tried did not taste all that fresh. Honestly, I would rather walk across the street to Seafood City and purchase some of the grilled fish which was pretty good.

  7. Tim always the adventure ur reactions to some of the food is priceless!!!🤯 this why we love you. Grilled food on a stick is always supposed to taste great, opps jot always. But I must say the grilled pork blood scared me. Great job, love u. Cookie

  8. Those skewers were interesting, your reaction to the grilled blood was funny, I have to admit. The buffet dishes looked a whole lot more palatable. Thanks for the adventurous video.

  9. I was stationed in the Philippines for 3 years and have been married to a Filipina for over 40 years. I was surprised to hear you not call those rolls Lumpia!! The "pig inerwards" were a bar food I tried at several bars in the Philippines, the called it " Bulaklak" and you ate it with spiced vinegar!!

  10. Filipino food is really strange and what you had is normaly street food.. The Lumpia is always superb. The pork blood or black pudding you had, needed a lot more grilling and is then lovely. You basicaly ate it raw. The pigs ear is better cooked in a batter. Nice vid as always.

  11. Grilled blood skewers are supposed to be dipped in vinegar sauce. Filipinos don’t eat grilled pork blood by itself, it really needs to be dipped in sauce before eating. You’ll taste a big difference.
