The Aichi Bokujo CX race is possibly the best and most popular cyclocross race in all of Japan. People come from all over the country to participate and the event has been getting bigger and better every year, with a growing number of participants, vendors, and the course also getting more difficult.
This is our local race, so although we are not racing this year, we came out to cheer on our friends and show you what the cyclocross race culture is like here in Japan.
I want to say a special thank you to Ishikawa-san for helping film some of the video during the men’s pro race!

Thuong’s first CX race
Unfortunately we filmed this video before we announced the race challenge for Thuong, so we missed the deadline for this race and were not able to participate. We haven’t forgotten the promise and are looking for a race for her to participate in. Send us any suggestions if you have any!

This video was filmed before we announced the race challenge for Thuong. Don't worry, I promise to hold her up to the bargain 😉
Thanks to Ishikawa-san for helping me film some of the men's pro race footage today! 😁
On that S1neo, I saw it said Next on the seat tube, and next is a crappy w*lmart brand lol. So I looked it up, s1neo is a French brand apparently? They ship directly to you rather than having dealers.
Love the cyclocross content, would love to go on a shopping spree at all those stores you showed off haha
cyclocross wheels are the best 🚲
So want to try out the Aichi Bokujo cyclocross course, taste the Bucyo coffee and kebab god willing if i’m ever in Japan. Best of luck to Thuong-chan for her upcoming cyclocross race! 🚴♂️
Even it’s very safe and trustworthy here in Finland I’d never left my bike unlocked.. not even at happening like that. Unfortunately. :/ With those hats You would be laughed out! 🙂 ”Cool hats” say You.. well, I really like culture differences between us and Japan, but even me, as a ”kidult” (kid adult) those are just way too childish. Been wondering why many things at Japan are so childish; commercials, products and some manners… like You and Thuong all the time. LoL!
Well done short movie! Really good, and interesting, mix of race and other stuff!
I find it quite interesting how the farmers would allow a cyclecross race to take place directly next to all his crops where people might be walking. But if the farmer doesn't mind that, I would love the natural farm nature terrain
Great video and i had to smile when you mentioned the cycle cross track condition there………..as i has just watched the cycle cross world championships for elite men today , and then you will know what a muddy course is. You should really do an effort to get to watch this. Not sure if its possible to get hold of in Japan though. Have a nice weekend. I know its already ended for you.
Excellent course!
Wow, a farm with a larger tractor than I've come across in Japan. I've only been in regions like Shima Hanto where there's rice or tea growing.
Really need take my bike next time so I can explore…
great video watching these guys jump off their bikes and run up the stairs like well rehearsed choreography
Nice day 🙂👍🏻👍🏻
Why you dont join contest ..its good for you to compete
Cute drawing of Onoda at the Bucyo tent 😄
Going to have a chat to my Grandson about this event , if he's interested we may sponsor him next yr !
14.33 Niner bike with bike fork unknown. Is it a prototype or on sale by a Brand? Do you Know Something about it? Good event, good people, good video. Go on Cruise San and Thuong Chan
Cyclo cross in Flanders in one hour of pure pain and heroism on brutal terrain so good luck to all the the riders in this contest.
Loving all to canti brake bikes I still have my one as well.
Nice video as always 🙂 Stairs part, climbing up with cycle"cross" it makes sense lol!
Hey Cruise it`s time for you to have BMC bike not only water bottles. Dont you think so?))))
As well as she did in her first race, I'm shocked and disappointing she didn't want to compete again.
AHHHHHH THAT REM JERSEY I WISH I CAN HAVE THOSE :'( LOVE IT
hidden gem at 5:47 🙂
Carbon Klein? What heresy is this?
Wonderful Video ,thank you hope to see you two in more videos
This race really should be called the 'Stairway to Heaven Cross' 😆
Thanks for sharing the experience!
Awesome video, I really like how you explain everything you show us….thanks for sharing!
3:47 Is that a Token ninja bottom bracket?
Did you see the CX Worlds races in Switzerland this weekend? Elite Ladies was insane, you can watch it again on Red Bull TV.
Is there any where I can buy Yowamushi pedal cycling team jersey? Really want one T T thanks
Good video as always!
Thank you for showing us your local scene! Your videos are always a pleasure
あ,やっぱりCruiseさんだったんだ.声を掛ければよかった.
C1は圧倒的なレースでしたね.
I just found this little clip on youtube for people to watch if they want. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vLfFar9yYlA
Thanks for showing the back side of the race. Enjoyed seeing the shops (cleaning truck, hats, food, free ride…). Was surely a nice day over there. And I had a good laugh at 18:08 🙂
Greetings from Malaysia! Watching your videos is a great mood lifter as our country enters lockdown starting from tomorrow. You have inspired me to jump on my rollers too 😀
Bike at 14:32 has one of those wacky suspension road forks! They're quite cool and expensive.
Aside from that, it's cool to see all these single speeds at 13:46.
that Klein bike is cool, the Japanese have such a variety of bikes! I love that there is a huge tribe of Specialized or Trek or something else.. just all kinds of bikes. It seems that they want to be more individual than here in the U.S.
Are old Klein’ a collectible bike in Japan? How much do they sell for?
