Welcome back to Italy! 🇮🇹 Instead of street food, we are showing you the BEST food to eat when you visit the Dolomites, in South Tyrol. This area is very close to the Austrian border, so their cuisine reflects that, which you won’t find anywhere else in Italy!
We are taking you to Seceda, an incredible mountain with breathtaking views. Many tourists come here for hiking, paragliding, skiing or retreats, but we’re here for the Tyrolean food!
To get there, you will need to take a gondola and cable car, which will take you to the most famous sightseeing spot. The ride round trip is 35 euro per person. Once you get there, you can start exploring along the many hiking trails.
📍Seceda, South Tyrol
If you hike down, you’ll find the restaurant Troier Hütte, which specializes in farm to table food. A must try is their cheese and speck board. Their speck is smoked locally and is amazing! We also had a speck dumpling soup and beers. A perfect meal after hiking around.
📍 Troier Hütte
The next day, we visited Lago di Carezza. This is just a short hike around a turquoise lake surrounded by massive mountains!
📍Lago di Carezza
We then drove to Bolzano, a beautiful city influenced by Bavarian Baroque architecture. We walked through the narrow streets and old squares to get to Franziskanerstuben for more Tyrolean food. We ordered the classic Wiener Schnitzel and Apple Strudel.
📍 Franziskanerstuben
We travelled around this region by rental car which is one of the best and most convenient ways to explore the Dolomites!

Eating SOUTH TYROLEAN FOOD in Italian Dolomites 🇮🇹 (IS THIS EVEN ITALY?!)
Domomites are in Italy and Austria both, it's a border conflict what is going on and soon EU, Italy and Austria will decide if South Tyrol goes to Austria.
Nice video like always. Pls could you consider music, you record lovely nature and play music like for dance floor. It kills vibes, thx. Lots of love and pasta from South Italy.
That area was actually the first out of the Austrian country for the Nazis escaping prosecution the rat line
"IS THIS EVEN ITALY?!"
No, it is not.
South Tyrol is NOT Italy!
honestly its interesting because in sudtirol can be the same situation as in ukraine. but for some reason people there are happy to be italian.
Great video. Just one comment, I have never heard someone say Italian beer is better than German beer.
03:48 this is abuse. How deaf must these cows be at this stage? Imagine that sound around your neck 24/7 in your ears. Ffs
Which camera have you guys used?
Absolutely yes, this is also Italy! I think there is a general misconception about Italy that is everywhere a Mediterranean country, which is in fact only partially true. I personally come from the continental Northern part of Italy, which I would say it is more Central European, rather than Mediterranean, like the South is. This is in fact the beauty of Italy: its enormous differences and richness of cultures. Also many members of my family are very tall, with fair skin, green/blue eyes and blonde, so even in terms of look, Italians can be extremely varied. Enjoy your stay/goditi il viaggio in Italia! 🙂
Hello everyone!
I am doing a questionnaire for my university dissertation on "The influence of language, culture and language status on identity in South Tyrol". It would be really appreciated if anyone native to (is from) the region of South Tyrol could take 10 minutes to fill it out. The questionnaire is available in English, German and Italian. Thank you! 🙂

It's not an influence. It's German 😀 These are Bavarian bread dumplings. Semmelknoedel. (you even got German cars 😛 )
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
🤢🤮
Austria should reclaim this. I mean come on, realistically how could these people feel Italian.
Nah its austria. Its italy on paper only
Love the detail! Great video!
Ciao Bolzano
I'd like your videos more, if you wouldn't put on the music-sauce, when you don't talk. Nature in itself is wonderful, it doesn't need this sauce
