Telok Ayer Street is a street located in Singapore’s Chinatown within the Outram district, linking Church Street to Cecil Street. Telok Ayer MRT station is located at the junction of Cross Street and Telok Ayer Street.

History:
Telok Ayer Street used to face the original seafront and served as a docking bay for the boats and sampans of early immigrants. Grateful for a safe journey, many set up altars and worship houses to give thanks to their gods.
