This is some of the area around my second house, which I basically traded a motorcycle for. The place where I grew up is far more rural, but I think it is still safe to call this the “countryside.” I always enjoy the massive change in scenery compared to the cities where I spend most of my time.

The video showing the house, moving stuff in progress, is here:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DNX1QQH4QEs

  1. It's hard to say what makes it Japanese but it seems almost unmistakable. And green. I assume this is the taxi ride?

  2. For some reason this video reminded me of bithead1000 talking about parallex scrolling, looks like a great house hope you get to use it a lot.

  3. nice 🙂 …. found myself bopping away to the tunes too 😀 I've got a motrorbike, it was a mid life crisis buy, its rotting away in my brothers garage….I reckon i could swap it for donuts. I actually swapped my jag for donuts on account of being a complete donut.

  4. Plenty of countryside to go at, great that you can get a bus as well, how long is the trip? hopefully less then 3 hours 😀

  5. seeing farm houses with Japanese architecture is definitely surreal. I think that's the right word. thanks for a cool video.

  6. Really nice. I love that ripple effect on the fields as you drive by. Perfect music for it too. My husband recently went to Japan for 2 weeks our daughter (31) and they loved it, esp the food and scenery. I'm in Oz.

  7. Very nice! I personally always loved to get out of Tokyo and go to Kamakura and the surrounding areas, when I got some free time back in the day. More of a countryside and beach person myself than the big city, which is odd considering I always find myself living in or near big cities, heh, well, mainly due to proximity to corporations I've worked/work at, but I'd love to just be out away from everything if it were possible. Looking forward to seeing your villa take shape!
