Welcome to Oita

Today we are on a road trip from Oita city to Bungoono.

Bungoono has beautiful Nature and amazing sights.

Our first goal is the Chinda falls which is a broad cascade over a river cliff in a forested valley, with remains of an early 1900s power plant.]

The next place we visit is another Waterfall the Harajiri Falls.

These Falls form a semicircle and can be viewed from all around and from a wooden suspension bridge.

And the last place is a scenic Spot of railways between the station’s JR Bungo- Kiokawa Station and JR Miemachi Station.

Chinda Falls is compromised of two waterfalls Odaki (the male) and Medaki (the female)

Another sight in this spot is the ruins of the Chinda Hydroelectric Power Plant.

The electricity from this facility was used to move streetcars between Oita and Beppu.

That contributed to the modernization of Japan.

Now that power plant was moved more Upstream to provide a more stable supply of electricity.

From this view, you can see nicely to the left the big broad 97-meter-long Odaki fall and to the right side the wild small 4-meter-wide Medaki fall

On the way to the next Waterfall, we saw this little snake.

We brought the Chihuahua this time his name is Sora which means Sky in English
he is gonna swim for the first time.

Here you can see the wooden suspension bridge we will go on top later.

He didn’t like the water so much so we looked around the place a bit more.

The Views from all sides are amazing and the difference between the calm on the top and the wild water surging down the waterfall is amazing.

Next to the Waterfall, we found a water weel with a beautiful old-style Japanese house that was unfortunately currently under construction.

After we made it to the Bridge.
It was a bit shaky to walk on it even though it was not so windy.

The view from up here is amazing.

After another drive in the car, we finally arrived at the Landscape of Iwato, where the trains come out or go into the mountain.

By checking the Train schedule online, we found out that both directions came close to each other.

Thank you for watching and as always if you have any questions post them in the comments!
