◆Demachiyanagi Station is a station of Keihan Electric Railway and Eizan Electric Railway in Sakyo Ward, Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture. The station numbers are KH42 for Keihan Electric Railway and E01 for Eizan Electric Railway.

“Demachiyanagi” has been established as a place name around this station on the left bank of the Kamo River (east side), but it was originally a station name that combines the two place names of Demachi and Yanagi. Demachi is a popular name that refers to the area around Kawaramachi Imadegawa on the right bank of the Kamo River (west side, Sakyo Ward side), and Yanagi is the character around this station on the left bank of the Kamo River (east side, Sakyo Ward side) [1] [2] (Note that Eizan Electric Railway The current location on the side is “Tanaka Kamiyanagi-cho, Sakyo-ku”, and the current location on the Keihan Electric Railway side is “Tanaka Shimoyanagi-cho, Sakyo-ku” [2]).

◆出町柳駅（でまちやなぎえき）は、京都府京都市左京区にある、京阪電気鉄道・叡山電鉄の駅。駅番号は京阪電気鉄道がKH42、叡山電鉄がE01。

「出町柳」で鴨川左岸（東側）の当駅周辺の地名として定着しているが、元は出町と柳の二つの地名を合わせた駅名である。出町は鴨川右岸（西側、上京区側）の河原町今出川付近一帯を指す俗称、柳は鴨川左岸（東側、左京区側）の当駅周辺の字である[1][2]（なお、叡山電鉄側の現所在地が「左京区田中上柳町」、京阪電鉄側の現所在地が「左京区田中下柳町」である[2]）。
