Commuting on an ADV bike? Why not? V-Strom 650



my 2019 V-Strom 650 eats up highway miles effortlessly and is a very comfortable ride to work.

    It's easy to get cynical about "the wave". Jeep to Jeep? Maybe, but many people on two wheels feel like they share a common brotherhood. I've seen non-waving snobs on every bike. More BMW riders than even Harley guys. I too was tempted to stop doing it.

    I remember a world (and yes it dates me) when people used to wave from their front porches, or driving on a country road you'd get many waves from porches. It was a much friendlier world. It was great. And in this day and age, cordialness, friendliness and respect, it's needed more than ever.

    Here in Colorado, I get the wave from all type riders. I'll even try to be nice and inclusive to scooter riders. Bottom line is, SOMEBODY still has to take the "friendly (high) road" and be nice.

    Having said that, when ever someone doesn't wave (and you can sometimes tell that they're just being up-a-dy), I'll wave and as my hand goes down, I'll close my hand leaving the extended middle finger as my final calling card. Who knows if they notice it in their rear view mirror. But I get the "good feeling" either way. LOL!
