I literally just passed by that place in D1 today. Anyway, the xoi ngot looks awesome, used to have so much when I was a kid. Glad you enjoyed it.

Great video on xoi! Would love to see you do a more comprehensive video on xoi in all it's various sweet and savory iterations. This may take a while as you'll have to go all over Saigon to find different stuff to showcase. 🙂 BTW, the sweet xoi is a family favorite. We usually steam it and then add coconut milk or cream to make it richer/creamer along with coconut flakes. We then make little balls with our fingers and use it to dip into the peanut/sugar/salt/sesame dip. Delish!

I agree that most of the desserts in Vietnam aren't sweet by a western palate, but cà phê sữa đá is crazy sweet.
