  1. So we now have the TSA pre-screening people who simply want to eat? Welcome to the NWO!

  2. there's actually a lot of desserts there. they have vietnamese sponge cake, jello, che and milk tea drinks. he just didn't explore the whole menu

  3. Holy freak I know some of the places (my two sisters live in St. Louis and I tend to visit them).

  4. If you're ever going through Dallas again and you happen to go by the House of blues if you walk up the street from it it'll be where spaghetti warehouses there's a little place called spiatzas I'm from Texas and moved around a lot and I'll tell you they've got the best pizzas around and good beer prices just up the street from them is a place called Gators it's a Cajun place best fried pickles you've never tried and no they're not Spears there's thick slices and you'll see what I'm talking about and everything is good there

  5. Omg this place is bomb $50 per person is worth it. Everything is soooo delicious. The rice with crab is 👍🏼

  6. BBQ's OK. I live in Texas, and I like it, but it can't compare with a good steak or Brazilian churrascaria grill because of the chemical processes involved in grilling that give the meat a superior flavor. My favorite BBQ is Memphis style dry rub ribs, no sauce.

  7. I love Mikey, but I went to this buffet Monday and it was legit one of the worst buffets I’ve ever had. It is very clear they do not use quality meats. Food was bland. Noodle soup from the noodle station was soooo bland and the beef was obviously an extremely cheap cut. I showed up right when they opened yet the food did not taste fresh at all. The pork ribs and the sticky rice balls were the closest thing to good. Everything else was below average to bad. If you read reviews for the restaurant, they aren’t great, but that didn’t influence me. Vietnamese is my favorite genre of food and this was sooo disappointing especially after Mikey’s glowing review.

  8. I was a fan of the Tv show "No Reservations" with Anthony Bourdain and I remember he said Viatnamese food was his favourite cousine, RIP Tony, now we have all this amazing Youtubers keeping the fire alive, travelling and eating like Anthony did

  9. You don’t know how to eat Vietnamese crepes Bánh sèo. You have to wrap the crepe with lettuce and mints then dipping in the fish sauce before you eat. You have to put the hot sauce in the fish sauce not on the crepe.

  10. Why are you wearing a mask in Texas? California, yes – what’s the point of going to Texas then?

  11. I ate in an authentic Vietnamese restaurant while in Europe many years ago it was absolutely by far the worse food I have ever eaten!

  12. Why is banh xeo an omelette?lol reminds me why i stopped watching him after he said its made out of eggs back in his vn videos lol

  13. Kim Son is fabulous indeed, but he missed one of the best things there: the Vietnamese iced coffee. If you've never had this creamy, highly caffeinated concoction, you don't know what you're missing!

  14. I love your videos!!! I also love that not only did you find your travel partner but your food, love, and life partner!!

  15. Dammit I live here in Houston and I don't go to this place nearly enough. Time to take another trip. Thanks Mikey.

  16. Looks tasty but viet foods need more nutritional balance the lack of variety of crops like the eccelesiates bible verse and lentil beans sets you up for a long list of illnesses. So before after a viet buffet please eat all the many healthy foods you need to live forever. Your soul needs it and rest relax be happy sleep well and exercise. Jimmy your credit for the buffet is in God Heaven Treasury and with the restaurant. 🙂

  17. Being conected to the Food industry. Let me tell you something, One thing is walking in to a restaurant as a customer and another is to walk in to the restaurant's kitchen. "The Back Door" The food is delicious , but you don't want to know how and the conditions your food is prepared. Even in the nicest restaurants. One tip, if the restaurant 's restroom is dirty. The Kitchen is worst. NO JOKE.

  18. Off topic, but I miss your Ancient Chinese history videos you used to do on Off The Great Wall channel……I hope you start doing some on this channel again.

  19. Just had dinner here with my parents, we love vietnamese food, this was a major disappointment, we don't agree with anything you had to say about this restaurant.

  20. I can attest the joint is still hoppin’ in July of ‘22. Visiting on a Thursday night at 6pm and they put out a boneless prime rib roast (yes, with au jus) to carve. Had to hit that before starting on the noodle station challenge. Soda was accompanied by a carafe portion to eliminate the need to beg for refills. Little touches like that kick them a few notches above other buffet venues. It’s on the re-visit list if passing through Houston in the future!
