Cape Tachimachi is a cape facing the Tsugaru Straits in Sumiyoshi-cho, Hakodate City, Hokkaido.

Located in the southeast of Mt. Hakodate. The view is good because it is on the cliff that came out of the Tsugaru Straits, and you can see the Shimokita Peninsula on a sunny day.・ Akiko’s song monument has also been set up, making it a tourist attraction in Hakodate.

The access road to the cape is about the width of one car.Tourists who do not use a car go up the slope for about 20 minutes from the Hakodate Tram stop to the cape, and in one corner of the graveyard on this slope is Takuboku Ishikawa and his family’s grave.Takuboku describes the first step of his wandering life in Hokkaido for less than two years in Aoyagi-cho, Hakodate. It was built by my friend Ikuu Miyazaki and others. The tombstone is engraved with “Ichiaku no Suna” in the songbook “Ichiaku no Suna”.Next to this tomb is the monument to Ikuu Miyazaki and Kageji Sunayama.
