Today, I’m taking a relaxing walk along the Kamogawa River in Kyoto, the ancient capital of Japan. The Kamo River is a popular spot for Kyoto residents and tourists alike. People flock to the riverside to escape the bustle of the city streets. If you are visiting Kyoto, the banks of the Kamo River are a perfect place for a quiet coffee and a rest at any time of the day. Mingle with the locals as you take a morning walk along the river, have a picnic on the riverside, dine at a local restaurant, or explore the nearby Pontocho Alley , where traditional Kyoto culture and geisha can still be found!
