The new Asakusa Yokocho food hall, taking over the fourth floor of Tokyo Rakutenchi Asakusa Building, is inspired by Japan’s colorful matsuri (traditional festivals). As such, the interior features flashy signs, festive lanterns and cheerful decorations to remind us of the festivities we miss during the pandemic. For the full matsuri experience, the yokocho will also regularly host dancers performing yosakoi, awa odori or bon odori dances to liven up the mood

    Great videos. I like walking tour videos, but your videos are the first I’ve seen that actually come off as normal encounters, just you living life in Japan. I appreciate the location and temperature information at the beginning of the video, but just a suggestion, could you please also include the time of day? I live in a rural town that is asleep when it’s dark out, so it’s hard for me to know what time the evening videos take place? Are your dates taking place in the early evening or late nights? Tokyo city lights make it hard to know for sure, it’s like it’s day time all the time, only the neon lights tell me it’s dark/night.
