Built in England, the Mikasa served as the flagship of the Allied Fleet during the Russo-Japanese War that began in 1904, and General Heihachiro Togo, Commander-in-Chief of the Allied Fleet, and others served aboard. The ship is now under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Defense and is preserved as a memorial ship in Mikasa Park in Yokosuka City, Kanagawa Prefecture.

Get off at Yokosuka Chuo Station on the Keikyu Line and walk 15 minutes or take the Mikasa Circulation Bus and get off at the Mikasa Koen bus stop.
From JR Yokosuka Station, take a bus bound for Yokosuka Chuo Station (bound for Kinugasa Station, Nagai, Misakiguchi, etc., approx. 10 minutes), get off at Otaki-cho bus stop, and walk 7 minutes.
(By car) From the Yokosuka Interchange on the Yokohama-Yokosuka Road, take Prefectural Route 28 (former Honmachi Yamanaka Toll Road) to the end of the road and turn left at the entrance to Mikasa Park on National Route 16.
