Just south of Tokyo, lining the Tama River, are the factories and refineries of Kawasaki City. This industrial area lights up at night, drawing photographers and tourists for bus and boat tours. If you’re looking to escape the tourist spots of Tokyo, come and experience the unique festivals, venues, and museums of Kawasaki.

Kawasaki city has very convenient access to all major areas. From the Kawasaki station, trains can take you to the Narita Airport in 90 minutes, 14 minutes to the Haneda Airport and just 18 minutes away from the Tokyo station.
Kawasaki city is located in the heart of the Greater Tokyo Area, where it grants you very convenient access to southern Tokyo or northern Yokohama.

Although Kawasaki is near by Tokyo, hotels and restaurants around the city are much more reasonable priced.

Hatchōnawate Station (八丁畷駅, Hatchōnawate-eki) is a railway station in Kawasaki-ku, Kawasaki, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan, jointly operated by East Japan Railway Company (JR East) and the private railway operator Keikyu.

Hatchōnawate Station opened on December 25, 1916, as a station on the Keihin Electric Railway. The Nambu Line connected to the station on March 25, 1930 initially for freight operations, and with passenger operations from April 10 of the same year. The Nambu line was nationalized on April 1, 1944 and freight operations abolished the same year. It later became part of the Japanese National Railways (JNR) system. The level crossing at the station was replaced by a footbridge on October 28, 1974. Along with privatization and division of JNR, JR East assumed operations of the Nambu Branch Line from April 1, 1987. The station building was rebuilt in 1989.
