Finally! After nearly 7 years of doing trip reports, I finally got the chance to try Singapore Airlines. It took a while, but I can definitely say (with high confidence) that it was well worth the wait.

This is footage from SQ851, 787-10 service from Guangzhou China (CAN) to Singapore (SIN). Flying time was roughly 4.5 hours, and I was seated in 19A – a business class seat just one row from the rear of the business class cabin.

Aircraft registration was 9V-SCH.

    I'd appreciate your comment on the upper seat extension that actually blocks passenger's view at the window! in order to see through the window, one need to lean forward. I am not sure what purpose this oval shaped extension really serves.

    Wanted to add a correction for this and your upcoming A350 SIA video.
    There are two SIA A350 configurations, a long haul and a regional. The regional business are the same Stelia seats (on both 787 and A350). The long haul are exclusive to A350 and it's fitted with Jamco seats.

    I flew Singapore business class from Johannesburg to Singapore very recently for the very first time. Maybe my expectations were too high but I was completely underwhelmed. No amenity kits, very so-so food, mediocre wine and slap-dash service. Sorry but I won’t be flying them again soon.
