Located in Kawaguchi, Saitama, This little shop has been running for 27 years. Proof that it’s never too late to pursue another dream, the master went from playing in a jazz band on tv to opening this shop at the age of 50! Now nearing 77, he hasn’t slowed down at all.

The master is a really interesting guy! Learn about his story, what his shop is like, and join us in making his signature dish together. I have eaten one of my top favorite dishes, tsukune (chicken meatball), all over Japan and this is by far the best I’ve had in my life. You can see why as we explore the world of Hideyoshi.

Hideyoshi doesn’t have a website, but you can find it here:

Thanks for watching the video! This isn’t for marketing purposes, in fact it’s better if not a lot of people come here. He runs it on his own and crowds are no good. I didn’t want to let this secret out, but I thought it was worth sharing this master chef’s amazing food and interesting story. Enjoy!

I post unique photos and stories about Japan on social media, so come have a look if you are interested!
