Staying at a Ryokan is a MUST when you visit Japan. You will be able to experience the Japanese traditional way of life in these inns. But often, staying at a Ryokan can be a bit expensive.

If you are traveling to Japan on a budget, this ryokan is for you. Indeed, it costs less than 30$ per night! And for that price, you will have access to all the areas of the Ryokan, including a relaxing living room with an amazing river view (with a comfy kotatsu) and a lovely onsen.

But how a Ryokan can afford to charge only 30$ per night? For that price, you will actually share your room with other guests (room of 3 people maximum). But from my point of view, it didn’t really impact the experience at all. It’s actually an opportunity to meet new people! 🙂
