  1. Big hello from South Korea 😉 I am doing my first Contiki on 17th Dec to 4th Jan, Trail to Rome. I finished paying the Contiki and the airticket, but I have to start saving for my pocket money. How much will be okay per day in Europe? I am not a shopping type person, but I am sure I would go on every add-on and party. Will 80euro per day okay?😅 Btw your video is really organized and informative. Cheers bro

  2. This was SO helpful! Seriously considering booking a trip and wasn't sure as I would be going alone but I think you answered about 90% of my questions. A what to/not to pack for contiki would also be great.

  3. Thank you for all the information! I’m going to New Zealand by myself at the end of the year and this made me less nervous 🙂

  4. I love hearing your insights on Contiki – I definitely went through a lot of Youtube video before booking. If you’re looking for an in-depth review on the pros and cons of traveling with Contiki for Italy – check out my latest video!

  5. My son and grandson have just been thrown off contiki in the middle of nowhere in South America for alleged weed use in the hotel. This was just hearsay, There was an older couple on the bus that were making up stories. The boys are both 22 but not complete idiots. We have video footage of conversations between Contiki head office in America and my son and it is unbelievable. They told them if they tried to board the bus they would call the police and say they strangers. My son was asking for conformation that they were being ejected and the guy was like no you can't have but you can sign a paper saying you voluntarily left the tour!!!! No duty of care taken, Law suit coming up with the evidence we have gathered. As a parent I am shocked that a professional tour outfit would behave in this way. Several other people on the tour emailed Contiki in support of the boys to no avail. BEWARE CONTIKI PEOPLE

  6. Whatever the cost of your contiki, add up the cost of the add-ons, triple that number and that's how much you'll spend total, not including flights.

  7. Hey! I have a few questions if someone can help out. I’m going with my sister to do the England/Scotland trip in October. We were curious, is it all partying every night? We’re not opposed to a drink or two but for the most part we want to be there for the trip (this is our first real vacation in 20 years) also, if we book together, will we be in a room together? We want this but it’s hard to find this out on the website. Thanks!

  8. Very helpful! I'm booking my first solo trip through Contiki to go to Cape, Safari, and Falls. Thank you, very useful information!

  9. Hi, I know this video was from awhile back but I've just finished High school and have been working hard to afford. to travel Asim not interested in studying yet, I fear however because I'm 18 I'm probably too young for Contiki aren't I?

  11. Hey Corey, keep up the great videos! One quick question: What's your take on triple-shared rooms vs. doubles? I'm thinking that Triples would save you a few hundred dollars per trip usually, and you also get an extra person to connect with! But I don't think that many people get a Triple share room on Contiki.

  12. Hi I'm new to traveling and I was concerned that they won't bring us to enough good activities. Will I be able to trust the company to get my money's worth or will I need to do a lot of independent research and navigate the cities myself?

  13. The most important thing is to save more money and go on a Trafalgar Tour .

  14. Contiki are literally just full of unfriendly serious Ozzie’s. Everything is so expensive and after the trip the bus driver and tour leader expect a large tip even though you’ve already spent about 10grand in total

  15. I'm watching this years later, but you're a lifesaver! I didn't even know about downloading the brochure and seeing that information about joining other groups. Thank you so much!!

  16. I'm 35, do you think I'd get along with a group of 14 going to Yellowstone and Utah camping trip?? Will they all be early 20's or even teenagers?

  17. I noticed your degree. I'm from Calgary too!
    I have questions.
Where do we get our Visas?
Where do we meet the tour group?
What about travel and health insurance?

  18. I done a South Africa tour with Contiki a few years ago and was pretty disgusted. Two of our tour group members were coloured and the tour guide would treat them differently to the rest of the group and even ignore them at times. I could not believe what I was witnessing and had to intervene at times, because it just became embarrassing and uncomfortable.
The worst part was when the guide and driver were trying to convince the group that Nelson Mandela was a terrorist. I complained to Contiki about it, but they said the guide and driver were subcontractors, but will take the feedback onboard. The interesting part is that the tour guide happens to be in one of the photos Corey has uploaded. I've done other Contiki tours without a problem and have not witnessed similar things, but I guess it may just be a South Africa thing.
Also I would highly recommend Contiki and other group tour companies, you normally tend to have a great experience.

  19. The is the complete opposite of my idea of how to see the world. Literally travelling around in a bubble of drunk tourists without really touching the local cultures. But it's good for travel amateurs that just want to party I suppose. Each to their own.

  20. Great video, this was helpful 🙂 I've been looking this kind of trip for young adults (I'm 33) to meet new people. But super long travel days and partying is not my thing. I would rather attend "a wellness trip", maybe yoga or other sport activities, I like to be active but also relax.. Any tips?

  21. Hey, would you say it’s a pro or a con to travel via train on a trip instead of a bus? Does it sacrifice connections?

  22. Thank you for the video, i was looking for someone had an experience with contiki.
So, I'm always solo traveler but i decided to do something new like group travel next year to Europe, my problem is i have some social issues, i mean I'm always lonely and still i couldn't go with people and having normal and free talk ( like language barrier)
So. do you think the contiki is good for me with my issue?

  23. Thank you Corey. I am 35 this month and have always wanted to do a Contiki. I just decided now that seeing as it is my last chance I want to do this. The spend advice was a big one for me because I really dont want to under budget.

  24. I want to have my own room for my Contiki trip but still want to make friends because I'm travelling alone. Will I be at a disadvantage without a roommate or will it still be easy to make friends?

  25. How strict are they on luggage dimensions? The website says 29x20x10 but i cant find bags with those dimensions. thanks

  26. Corey I'm a bit of an introvert, and whilst I like a couple of nights out, I'm definitely not a party animal. Do you think this might be a problem esp going to europe?
