I enjoy your trips, but do you ever do non-stop euro trips!! ?
Great trip. I Love travel by train. Luiz Paulo – Rio de Janeiro – Brasil
Great video. Keep it going. 🇮🇳
Cool video
Btw it's cheaper to take a plain xd
Thank you for a great review. It was a shame about the broken blind, and very untypical of OBB ! I’ve not used the NightJet service on the Wien to Zurich route, as I prefer the daytime RailJet trains which are excellent, and you can see all the wonderful scenery !
Loved it 🙂
Really nice, well done video.
Electric train? Just wondering about the overhead lines.
love train rides❤
man you just gotta love austria
Informative…
Is this train electric or Diesel engine?
Beautiful video! In my own travels to Europe many years ago, I loved the train rides, and always the windows at the back as the train pulled away, shedding a tear or two, because I never knew when I would be back, since I live far away from Europe, and trips are expensive, especially now. And the best views were (and I think still are) those of the Austrian Alps, and the beautiful countryside scenery of northern Switzerland and southern Germany… Thank you for your wonderful videos!
Dear traveler, years ago I climbed abruptly on the WL VENEZIA – VIENNA via Tarvisio. Since the Pontebbana was very badly damaged, our convoy was hijacked without warning via Nova Gorica. The Yugoslav conductor didn't charge me anything, but the one from the Austro-Hungarian railways made me pay for a ticket from the border, located inside the long tunnel of the Karavanke, in Vienna. Was this behavior consistent with current legislation? Do you
These double decker are old City Night Line coaches that have been taken over by ÖBB. I traveled in one of the deluxe compartments and I was disappointed. It seems that there was only a paint job on the outside done. Inside the shower could not be used as water was floating in the basin amongst some dust flakes… No power socket in the compartment other than in the bathroom. Apart from that the service was good but they have to step up a notch when it comes to the maintenance of the compartments.
Something wrong with your maths fella at 7.58, "1 bed in a 6-bed couchette was €69.90 (£135.97, $161.19)…." what exchange rates are you using????
Lovely stuff! I’ve wanted to try this double decker for ages – your video persuaded me to book it!
Breakfast looked good and fresh
Great video I really want to travel!
Zurich has changed a lot since 1973 LOL
I'll start watching these travel videos again when people stop wearing those damned diapers on their faces!
This was an excellent night train trip from Vienna to Zurich. In 2018, I took a train ride round trip between Zurich and Vienna. The first train from Zurich to Kitzbuhel, Austria and the second train from Kitzbuhel to Vienna. The return rail trip was from Vienna and Bludenz, Austria. Due to track construction, I had to ride a bus from Innsbruck to Bludenz. I resumed the rail journey from Bludenz to Sargans, Schweiz to Zurich HB
Great.
Amtrak sleepers are much cozier.
I can only wish for Indian trains to be like this lol
ALPHABLOCKS IS TOO BASIC FOR THIS !
No toilet?
Round trip by train: 320€; 10-11 hours per leg
Round trip by plane: 175€-250€; 1h 15min per leg
Round trip by car: 200€ plus parking & toll; 7h 45min per leg
Round trip by EV: 145€ plus parking & toll; 8h 15min per leg incl. charging stop (30min)
If you can't justify this as either a novelty or a 2in1 transportation + hotel stay deal, the value proposition is just not there…
Train tickets really have to come down in price if they want people to consider trains an alternative!
Take the elevator for just one flor…. Fauler Sack!
Very good, really enjoyed it as there was no voiceover.
A coke at any time is bad for you. Start eating and drinking better food so that in years to come you wont struggle with medical problems
Great video! It is a shame the us is 50 years behind in rail service, and doesn't want to advance. The acela a joke for high speed service.
Сервис в поезде супер👍👍👍
ÖBB tickets are much too expensive.
I like your new showing of the route. Intermediate cities before were very small and now prominently displayed. Kudos to you
Great video. Subscribed to your channel. Would be nice to have costs for this journey as a guide too
Not even if they paid me … 🙂
Nice Video
LG from Vienna
You travelled as a single. What about elderly couples? Are there any compartments with 2 beds , both on the lower level? No negotiating steps and bunks?
Austria should develop “Athen Main Station”.
Stupid Comercial Breaks
Not sure if Austria works like that, but here in the Czech Republic if a train has delay on the departing station it means you are waiting for an incoming train. Usually a connection or a single track.
