  1. The place where I stayed for the night at the end of the video is called the Toucan Hostel at Playa del Coco. I checked the price of the same room for mid-January and it's just $45 per night on booking.com. So the $108 I paid was the New Year's Eve price. Accommodation will be cheaper at other times of the year.

  2. Hi Gabriel, There's no doubt maybe the worst time to travel is during the holiday's price gouging in most if not all Latin countries celebrate Jan 6 three Kings day.

  3. $108 for a simple room?!?! I know its new years but there's no people because of covid. Empty hotel. That's a $40 room at best. Gringo prices. Chips and velvita for $15
    I'll pass.

  4. Gabriel did you or have you still a spiritual channel .I would like you to do the plant psychedelics in Peru and give us your experience 🙂

  5. Don't seem that attractive place to travel or live. Although food looks great and I want to see coati.

  6. Hey brother man , nice to see somebody is enjoying some warm weather! Looks great there. Am so missing my apartment and warm weather in the Philippines, I sure wish it would open again soon. But until it does will just float around still. I asked the guys at the port of Vlore Albania if an American can cross into Italy..they said no problem. Do you have any connections to know if this could be true? Would hate to spend $65 and 5.5 hrs and get turned back.

  7. As a Costa Rica myself I would advice you to visit some prettier beaches , you could visit conchal beach , penca beach and flamingo beach , which are nearby your location ! They are white sanded , clear water and normally empty !!

  8. Nice! Interesting how almost nobody wears a mast there. Cool low key place. Let us know how New Years Eve went!

  9. Thanks for taking us along for the ride. I land in San Jose January 17 and after a few nights I am off to Samara beach in Guanacaste. I will be in Costa Rica 25 days so I look forward to seeing how it is and how it compares to Thailand, where I have been 6 times.

  10. My cousin Elaine and I just left Playa del Coco yesterday. We also went to Playa del Flamingo and Tamarindo beach. Loved all of it!!!

  11. new to your videos Gabriel, thanks for this one dude. I was in Coco beach back in 2019, you even sat at the same table I was at bro hahaa..!

  12. Hey bro great to see you again. Hope you had a great Christmas and just wanted to wish you a very Happy New year and may 2021 bring you much success, joy and happiness. Stay safe and catch up again real soon.

  13. Many of your fellow traveler vloggers are being widely criticized in the comment section of their YOUTUBE videos. 100s of highly negative comments telling them they were wrong to fly somewhere and travel during the virus.

Gabe: What is it about your situation and charming personality that you are not getting any online hate about your travels?

  14. Is that the Monaco of CR …? All Big expensive cars round there , Jeez .. And the prices you quote .. Way off MY mark ! 100$ just to sleep a night ?.. No thanks , too rich for my blood .

  15. Thanks. Good luck to you. For some reason I don’t think Costa Rica looks especially interesting. Might n me.
