  1. Im doing alaska with celebrity in May – from Vancouver, Icy Strait, Hubbard Glacier, Juneau, Ketchikan and back to Vancouver. which side should I book my balcony cabin (port or starboard) for best views?

  2. Thank you for these tips, Gary, especially the Glacier Bay one. We booked an HAL Gulf trip for late August, guided by this video. I'll report back.

  3. I'm looking into an alaska cruise in May with HOlland Cruise line as per your suggestion, Which 7 days cruise is the glacier bay?

  4. everyone I know who has taken an Alaskan cruise [at least 10+ folks] said that they loved it, but it just looks totally boring to me….not to mention, I don't want to take a cruise having to pack coats sweaters hoodies etc. I know there is a period of time when its warm….this is why I prefer caribbean cruises. Alaska just does NOT excite me at all.

  5. We took the Alaska cruise on Holland America and was very pleased. We spent the extra money for a balcony and I was extremely happy I did. It was a great way to get away from people but still watch the scenery. A small pair of Sports binoculars 7 x 35 worked perfect. But I disagree on the lumberjack show. I thought it was a joke. The weather is the law in Alaska and helicopter and plane trips often get canceled so always have a back up plan. The train ride was the best part of the entire trip. And the tram in Juneau was definitely worth it. I was disappointed that in each port all the shops were selling the same all tourist crap that you can find anywhere else in the world. I was told by a local that most of the shops are owned by people that live in Arizona and LA, especially the jewelry shops. A cruise is a way to see Alaska but if you want to experience it fly into Anchorage, Rent-A-Car and have at it.

  6. This arrogant, self absorbed not, is a tick on the ballsy of the earth. May he find exactly the pommys just deserves! God bless the queen!🤮🤮

  7. I recommend new cruisers to you channel ! I can't watch / listen to some of the others.

  8. Thanks Gary. Enjoyed listening to your tips. Simple and precise, no waffling on. Exactly what I needed to know. Great job. 👋

  9. Hello, I am from Costa Rica, I would like to take a Cruise for Alaska next year, but I don't know which is the best cruise line sailing there, Could you please help me?

  10. I just got my medallion and it is all messed up. We paid extra for custom. Now All they can do is give me a new one at the ship. What if that one screwed up too.

  11. Your vacation starts at the pier. For God's sake get a passport and get your children passports. Yes, you can sail with other documents, but it slows you and everyone behind you down. Fully complete your online check in. Upload pictures and required documents. Print every document you can, do not rely on your phone. Put your vaccination card in your passport and have your test results in hand. We want to get you from car to bar n 10 minutes, but it's up to you.

  12. I’m very sensitive to motion sickness, is the ship rocky. Plan on traveling in June/July?

  13. Repetitive! Cruising the inside passage through British Columbia you will see the most beautiful scenery in the world! Never get tired of that.

  14. Hi Gary looking at this now in 2022 for a possible Alaskan cruise in May 2023. Your videos are so incredibly helpful! Thank you so much!

It seems like the gulf is the way to go according to your video, but flying in or out of Anchorage through Whittier seems like a hassle.

  15. I've been to Alaska twice, July and August and it rarely rained. But I wasn't on a cruise, nor was I in the southeast part of the state.

  16. I’ve done Alaska 3 times now and my favourite excursion was taking the White Pass train up then riding a bike back down, It was safe and I only had to pedal for about 600 yards (it was hell) and there were better photo opportunities.

  17. Inside passage is terrific. Don't need a balcony room because of the cold in Spring and Fall. Pools useless at those times as well. Glacier Bay and Juneau glacier with helo ride and dogs sleds were high points.

  18. Awesome! Thanks for all the info on the excursions!! For a first timer all of the options can be a little overwhelming! Also if you did get left what do you do to get back to your ship?? Thanks!!!

  19. Thank for being so honest. I starred watching you a few months ago & had learned so much from your vedios. I will be going on a cruise in the future for the first time & feel prepared & confident! I hope you remain healthy & I thikj that it's great that you decided to take time to cruise around the world after being diagnosed with cancer. I pray that you remain healthy & strong.

  20. Do an Non US citizen need Canada visa for going on Alaska cruise from Seattle n back to Seattle ?

  21. Well I enjoyed my first cruise to Alaska I have to say and I will not name the cruise line it was the worst food I have ever had on a cruise. Food is not why I chose to go on a cruise but it is important and this food was awful. Check out your cruise ships and what they offer before you book them very important

  22. My husband and I will be going on our first cruise in May 2023 going Norwegian Bliss Club balcony. Curious about dress code and suggestions on activities that we should do. Thank you

  23. Alaska is my dream vacation but I know I will never be able to afford it. But I love watching videos about Alaska so I enjoyed watching this video.

  24. For an Alaska one time only bucket-list trip on a strict budget, if I can choose one splurge: a balcony cabin and no big excursions, or inside cabin and one or two dream excursions. Which would you choose?

  25. Please gelp me with this question. I want to go to Alaska. Do I need a visa when the ship goes to Vancouver? My passport does not allow entry to Canada butif I only stay in ship is it ok? If it is ok I will book a trip soon. I want not an expensive solo traveler option with access to food all day and nightand as quietas possible. I am not so much a fan of activities but some are welcome. The main reason I go is to see Alaska and eat and relax.
