As a preview of the upcoming Yale Alumni Academy travel program “Inside Japan: Historic Treasures and Contemporary Marvels,” (April 13-25, 2023), Professor Kamens will share insights about several of the locations in Kyoto, Shikoku and beyond that are featured in that itinerary. He will show how Japan’s past becomes visible in its present and how this dynamic takes shape in Japanese literature as well.
