We are visiting Iwami Ginzan, one of the most beautiful towns in Japan. Located in Shimane prefecture in the San-in region, it includes historic silver mines, shrines and temples, and the well-preserved town of Oda. On this video, we check out one of the silver mines, visit a cafe in town and stay overnight at a renovated 230 year old samurai house, where we feast on Japanese food.

Sorry, I finished watching it before my appointment, so I couldn't comment. I love how they kept the buildings the same. They even made the vending machine match. Another wonderful place to stay. I am slowing down, so I would have to stay over.
8:55 sooooo cute!!! I ❤️ 🦇 🦇 I’ve actually seen them in the wild quite often as I grew up in a farming community and they are quite common here in northeastern Pennsylvania. We have a lot of natural caves & caverns in Pennsylvania and upstate New York. This is definitely a town I would love to see on my trip to Japan. Thank you for sharing with us your adventures and the foods. Until we can travel more freely, I can live vicariously through you! ✌🏻🥰😊
PS EDIT I absolutely loved the background music that you selected. Honestly, it made the video even more beautiful
It’s a blessing that it wasn’t destroyed considering how much history surrounded the region!
Are these two a couple?
Love this Video… what a place!! I would love to visit this town. I love this Japanese old style!! And the food looks so good. Great Video Guys!!
What a lovely area!!! the scenery is gorgeous😍Food looks delicious. And that shop… I want to go sometime.
So beautiful! Especially home with no electricity! Outstanding! Thank you for sharing your adventures! JoAnn Sigby
This has to be one of the most beautiful places you have shown us and the food looks so incredible! The serenity of the candlelit house just reached out and touched me, I’m really looking forward to visiting. Thank you so much Shinichi and Satoshi for introducing us to such wonders
What a lovely trip. Thank you for sharing this with us.
Another staged video from gungendo. It is really a shame.
This video had an aura of healing. The sights, the nature, the buildings, the food, the house with no electricity (like you said, feeling like it was a meditation experience). It was truly beautiful. I had such a stressful day (in a good way), and it left me so exhausted mentally and physically. I sat down with a nutritious dinner and watched your video, and by the end, I didn't feel stressed anymore. I felt very calm and centered. You two are always so wonderful with your commentaries too. Thank you for a special video! 😀 <3
This looks like a very interesting place and your video was really well done. You said on the livestream you work hard on it and it shows. Especially the opening montage. Bats are lucky animals, right? Cool you saw one there in the mine. Are they still mining silver in the area. Hard work. Did you visit the school? The food looks delicious. I would enjoy the strawberry the most. Beautiful area to visit and it was during ume season which I think I like even more than sakura.
the place really reminds me of the movie "Little Forest"
This was such a beautiful and interesting video! 💖
Great musical choice too!
Wow, the house without electricity is magical! We can sort of experience how it is like in the olden days during nighttime.
I spent time filming there recently! Such a beautiful town:)
Aloha from Hawaii! We love watching your channel! My wife and I be in Osaka in September and wanted to visit this beautiful town and stay at the property in your video. Just wanted to reconfirm the name of this location because I found 2 other places in the same town. Is it KURASUYADO TAKYO-ABEKE? Also, we’re interested in hiring the same individuals that took you on a tour of this area. Would you mine sharing their contact with me? Thank you again! There’s so many places we want to visit in Japan just from watching your videos blogs! Keep them coming! Mahalo!
I love Satoshi's comments on food! And I wish we could jop sticks that fine in the us.
Thanks for sharing this, what a cool video!

They brought the kids in to work the particularly small passages.
Beautiful place, breathtaking.. and the last house with no electricity….almost made me cry i dont know why? Thank you for this video! 🙏🏻❤🙏🏻❤
This looks familiar… Did Rachel and Jun come here once on their channel?
Is it the location of one of the scenes in Kurosawa's film "Dreams"?
Aww you two are so cute. Lovely vlog. 🤍🫶🏻🤍xxx
