Okinawa Prefecture is located about 500km southwest of Kyushu and consists of 363 islands. Okinawa has a tropical/subtropical climate and known for its blue ocean, crystal clear water, white sandy beaches, and beautiful coral reefs. Okinawa’s was formed by the dynamic mixtures of Chinese, Japanese, and other Southeast cultures.

From 1945-1972, Okinawa was ruled by the United States Military Government of the Ryukyu Islands(1945-1950) /United States Civil Administration of the Ryukyu Islands (1950-1972) and the influence of American culture is visible in every corner of Okinawa.
