According to a survey by Forbes.com, an estimated 20 million pilgrims visit the shrine to Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico City every year.   1. Michigan has several shrines worth a visit: National Shrine of the Little Flower in Royal Oak, National Shrine of the Cross in the Woods in Indian River, and Our Lady of the Woods in Mio. Also, there are many historical and old churches throughout the Detroit area.

  2. Stop by St. Joan of Arc Chapel on Marquette's campus in Milwaukee. We have daily Mass there, making it one of the oldest buildings in the Western Hemisphere used for its original purpose.
