🥒ABOUT BEFRS:
Hey, I’m Sonny! I’m from the US but currently call Vietnam home. I’ve been living in Asia for 10 years and started making food and travel videos to document my experiences. I travel to different parts of the world, hunting down and documenting the most unique food each country has to offer.

If you see any factual food errors in my videos, please feel free to politely let me know in the comments. I’m a huge fan of trying different, interesting foods in each country. My show is from a Western point of view, but more importantly, MY point of view. It is not meant to offend any person or culture.

  1. The part I still can't figure out is how the sheet dough gets transformed into neatly stacked layers of twisty ramen noodles. At 7:35, all you see is a big roller with multiple fine ridges separating the two – sheet dough goes in the stacked layers of twisty ramen noodles come out. How the heck does a single roller with ridges do that? There's got to be something more complicated going on between the two halves of this step.

  2. When he asks if you have ever had a person fall in and get ground into sausage, it reminded me of a story our supervisor told us during a safety meeting. A guy was doing maintenance on a large rolling wheel that crushes raw shale into fine powder for the making of ceramic tile. He forgot to lock the machine out. The next shift came in and were unaware of the guy doing maintenance to this "rock" crushing wheeled machine. They started it up and then realized what had happened a few moments later and shut the machine off. What was left of his remains fit into a Dixie cup. He DID become sausage. Lock out tag out people!

  3. Instant noodles are a petri dish of chemicals in a cup. I defy anyone to recite the ingredients out load. I tried instant noodles once and after I read the periodic table of elements on the back, I never went back.

  4. Very nice video. I think instant noodles during the epidemic have really contributed to stopping the epidemic because people are eating instant noodles at home.

  5. Only one bad thing about this is, the salt content of instant noodles. Intake of too much sodium will lead to major health problems.

  6. I wonder if they slept together after this, so much chemistry. I would love to see them both at it.

  7. I got some instant noodles here and wondered how they're made so here I am.

  8. 53/yr average per person! Uhh, way off. I don’t eat these because their price, I just really really enjoy them! The price is just a bonus, but I would gladly pay more, even double! Oh, and yea I usually eat a 12 pack in about 2 weeks. So yea, more then 53!

Ps – This is my late night go to snack instead of chips or other crap! Shoe me a good movie, and some Ramon, I’m in heaven.

Pro tip – If you like spicy, buy the regular instead of the spicy and add crushed pepper to your boiling water and a little soy sauce, black pepper, and chives at the end.

(Optional) You can also add some “La Choy crunchy noodles”, love those in any Chinese soup. Especially wonton.

That’s my secret add ons lmao!

  9. I started watching you a few years ago, the nail salon had your show on ! They love you and I do too. I asked what their interest in your show was, and they said they miss home and you show them about foods they never heard of too. When I took my head out of my butt I realized I’m still learning about the food of my people, too… hahaha
