New bike day in Vietnam. We decided to buy a spin bike for indoor cycling here in Vietnam so we can still cycle indoors and get our workouts in during the rainy season.
Unfortunately, many of the spin bikes here in Vietnam are very small and do not have enough seat post extension for me (I am 6 feet tall / 183cm). Luckily, we found one spin bike that was just about the right size and made with good materials.
The new bike seemed like the perfect choice at first, but we later found out that it used non-standard parts with the pedals (M18 size) and cranks (normal crank remover is too small). So for now we are stuck using the flat pedals until we can find a solution to change the cranks/pedals.

What do you think of the latest member of the TWC bike family?
We need a grocery shopping video!
Your spin bike is made in China by China Exercise Bike co, under names such as Hercules Fitness SB41 and Sotoo, by the Xiamen Golden Huanan Import and Export Co, out of Fujian Province. I found similar images on Google. it looks very sturdy. It should be really easy to get someone in Danang to weld up a second seat post for you. The original seat seems way to squishy.
Itadakimasu!π
Nice spin bike, the price is great. At least when you can't go out on your bike, some indoor training.
To clean the mtb, it takes me 1 hour to degrease and oil the transmission, and another hour to clean the frame and wheels, including tires, hubs and spokes.
P.s .: Thuong is getting more and more tanned π€π
Now it just needs a name (and hopefully compatible cranks/pedals). So, upcoming grocery shopping with the folding bike in trolley mode?
When a spin bike costs 7 million, you get top notch delivery and setup! π
Wow. That looks like a sturdy bike. Itβs very Dutch in this colors. :). Those sandwiches made me hungry
that city looks so nice, roads are pristine as well
newer spin bikes are so nicee
got some highland coffee grounds here in Cali from an asian store
didnt know it was the starbucks of Vietnam π€£
Ah, Koreanβs are the tallest on average in SE Asia – great you finally got a bike. I bought a Kickr Rollr due to all the rain here in Eastern Australia. Have to stay in shape. I guess you can calculate power from speed though not that accurate. Maybe you can get a machine shop to adapt the crank thread?
Without drop bars, headwinds are gonna be brutal.
Da Nang looks very clean, and a great place to live. Hope you can stay for a while. Your wife is picking up English quickly as well it seems.
It's been a hot and humid week
It's hot summer in Taiwan now
Congrats on getting a beautiful spin bike
Is it common to buy stuff and just have it delivered in Vietnam? π
Vietnam is bigg
Good Purchase U 2!! Best Part No need to dodge Trucks!
So far im seeing riding in Da Nang is much better than i imagined!
Congrats! Charly from the Philippines
I miss you guysssss
How do you hook up a spin bike to Zwift? Does it come with a power meter or do you have power meter pedals that you put on it?
Nice ride along the beach. Great views! About the spin bike, perhaps you can install your clipless pedals, or is that not possible? I have a Saris Hammer 3 smart trainer and I use it with Zwift. It works great! Excellent that your spin bike is compatible with Zwift. It really does save the day when health or weather doesnβt permit.
Wow that market looks huge, sound like you and Thoung have your shopping spots marked out. Now that you have that spin bike, you won't miss out on your training.
Try to find a machine shop in the area. They might have ideas to get the pedals working for you.
Aircraft mechanics can work magic sometimes.
I was not expecting the saleswoman from the store to show up for the delivery…
Why doesnβt Thuong speak Vietnamese on this channel? That makes you closer with Vietnamese people.
10:52 AlberThuong Contador XD
Me personally prefer trainer compare to spin bike or roller, It is easy to install and still feel familiar with the bike. Tho it might not work for carbon or TA axle. Resistance wise the heaviest gear should still work.
its been a while
CURB PAINTED ORANGE COLOR STRIPES ON WHITE COLOR CONCRETE IN VIETNAM
Nice little ride over the dragon bridge. Is it still affordable there. I think its a good retirement place.
Feeling like Gulliver? Spin bike? Oh, training bike! Looks like a skinny Subway 6" crusty snack. Soft saddle, my go to.
No cycling helmet??
Spinbike could last for years. China is the world factory for spinbikes. Mine was bought 15 years ago, costing about $250 and it still worked fine except the display kaput already.
If you only need a centimeter maybe some shorter crank arms along w/ thiner cycling shoes will do the trick.
Welcome to VN
Someone ripped off your video, here it is…https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z5uVhwOL3-M

Return it
Where are you guy? Videos have slowed down and we miss you.
Letβs haggle down 2 million VND and get same day shipping and installation, Thuong-san!
it is a good looking indoor bike for 300 bucks in USA maybe 1K
Hi guys.. this is your video right? https://youtu.be/0kSz3znJwh0
I've bough a spinbike with power pedals. It's working great. Thank you for your video''s.
I think someone used one of your old ride videos without permission: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z5uVhwOL3-M

Team Cruise has no new video yet?
Good choice. Spin bikes are indestructible. Add a pedal powermeter and you can use it for Swift as well.
