Day thirteen of our vacation in Tokyo, we went to Takaosan (Mt. Takao) to go to a Monkey Park and visit a shrine built in 744 AD and then we headed out to Ginza, the Beverly Hills of Tokyo.

  1. Love this video. I wish I could have seen more of Ginza in the video, we didn't go there the last time we went to Japan and I always wanted to go and visit. I think that when I go back I will have to go for two weeks as well. We went for only five days. Did they treated you nice when you went to the stores there? Did you feel underdressed or anything? I always feel that in the chic stores you got to already be dressed chic.

  2. Yes, they were very polite. I didn't feel under-dressed. Whenever I go into fancy store or restaurant I think that the people working there can't afford most of the stuff either. So I just relate to them, they're just like me. Also, anyone who has any real class doesn't look their nose down on anyone. Mostly, those types are broke and are trying to feel better by making other people feel bad. So I just act like "this is normal for me", and I always get great service. 😉

  3. And by "normal" I mean that I love the great food, great views, great service and I wouldn't have it any other way.

  4. Is all about attitude isn't? I need to work on that myself, to expect good treatment. It is true that as a customer (or potential) you should expect good treatment regardless of how you look. Thanks! Will you return to Japan? That would be nice to see those vids as well. I went to your website and it is very helpful. Don't know when but I got to go back and "do it right" 🙂

  5. We'd love to visit Tokyo again, but don't have plans to go back in the near future. There's so much to see, definitely go as many times as you can! 😀
