Antylia was my favourite holiday location to go with my family and we always stayed in this resort called Barut lara
Great travel vlog! We had a similar experience in a taxi in Bodrum – No seat belts and crazy driving I was happy to just get to resort in one piece. By your brave staying in such a budget place, and shame you couldnt get the Land Of Lengends Hotel that does look amazing. Look fwd to the rest of this trip.
Sounds like Turkey with the taxi he probably didn't have a licence 😆😆 been Turkey loads and had a incident where one would give a lift to another pub they owned and they didn't seem to care jumping in there car after drinking lol plus seen lots of fighting after bad driving 😆😆 enjoy Shawn 😁😁😁

No doubt frightening experience with a non English speaking taxi driver in a strange country that you have never been to. Glad you got through it ok and I can’t wait for your park review of this place. Enjoy your trip Shawn.

I have never been abroad to Turkey, but other people who i have spoken to who have been there have said to me in the past that some European & Middle Eastern taxi drivers are nutters when it comes to driving.
They have no understanding about safe & careful driving.
They literally just do what they want as & when & have no regard for your safety or even there own safety.
It worries me to be honest.
At least you got to the hotel in one piece.
And the hotel room itself looked reasonable for what you paid.

What great accommodation for the price! Shame about the taxi, unfortunately I've read and heard a lot about the taxis in Turkey. I've been to Marmaris before and we had problems with a taxi on the first night, similar to your experience so we steered clear of them for the rest of the journey. Glad you're okay though! Stay safe and thank you for the advice! <3
I find the best thing to do in turkey is to book a shared airport shuttle. Normally a small coach which will drop you at your hotel possibly making a few stops at other hotels on the way to drop other people off. Tend to be much better drivers, websites like holidaytaxis are good to book them on
Been to Turkey…we stayed in marmaris…Place looks grand just for a few nights. Can't wait to see the other vlog on land of legends.. going to watch it now. 😊

I had a taxi driver like that in rome. I legit thought I was gunna die. I drive for a living an iv never even witnessed someone driving as bad as this guy was.

We went to Antalaya few years ago and stayed in Side. Best holiday we had and it was hot! Do you still need to a visa to get into the country?
Thats interesting about the driver in the taxi beacuse my grandparents have just come back from cyprus and they had the similar experience they thought they where going to be in a car chase and the driver was beeping the otehr drivers then they beeped them back then they where being driven in between each other and the though they where going to crash into the other car ! Sorry if I didn't explain that very well 😅

What a nightmare start. You are not the first person I have heard of experiencing dreadful taxi drives. Glad you got there safely in the end! Hotel is pretty good price, it looks clean enough and for anyone on a tight budget its ideal.
Hiya, why did the taxi driver say what it was in euros but charged lira? I’m going next week and nervous! Only taking cabin bag and hoping to buy sun cream, shampoo etc there. Is there some kind of discount shop for that sort of thing?

When I watch travel videos I just want to see the city and all attractions. I don't really care about the flight journey,etc. Although the taxi warning was.helpful.
