Join me this evening for an interesting night walk in the Shinsekai area of downtown Osaka. Shinsekai 新世界 is one of Osaka’s most interesting neighborhoods, where we can really get a feel for what Osaka used to be like. Here we can find many old eating and drinking establishments selling hormone-yaki (barbecued cattle organs), kushi-yaki (Japanese shish kebab), and kushi-katsu (deep-fried meat and vegetables). I start my walk today looking up at the incredible Tsutenkaku tower, 通天閣, one of the most famous landmarks of Osaka. I then walk on to Jan-Jan Yokocho alley, ジャンジャン横丁. This narrow alley which runs along one side of Shin-Sekai is a lovely old dining and shopping street popular with locals. This amazing area of Kurashiki is one of the places you must visit when traveling to Japan – don’t miss it! Whether you are with family, friends or just into solo travel Japan is a great place to visit! I hope you enjoy this relaxing 4k walk .
