The second day of our first domestic over night trip in Yokohama, Japan! One of our favorite destinations in Japan and only 30 minutes away on the train from Shibuya, Tokyo.

First Day:

Main plan for the day is to explore Yokohama Chinatown. After a coffee charge from Starbucks we headed out for lunch at Akarenga Soko (Red Brick Warehouse). From there we walked to Chinatown, going past a couple of photo spots on the way.

Chinatown was packed! Still full from lunch, we looked at a lot of foodstalls but only ended up trying one, egg tart. All while being attacked by a Pigeon….again…..

Then we headed to Motomachi, which is a European style part of town, through to Yamashita Park. Then tried out luck at a Crane game in a arcade close by.

Back at the hotel, Loa had some snot stuck in her nose, so we tried to ‘suck’ it out. Loa was not enjoying the experience and so put a big fight! Thankfully though we were able to get it done, so Loa could sleep soundly.

We really enjoyed our two nights in Yokohama, and it was the perfect location for our first domestic trip as a family. Now that Loa seems OK with travelling via train, bus as well as staying in a hotel, we hope to have more family trips together!!
