Gioji is located even deeper in the forested area than Jojakkoji and Nisonin. It is famous for its moss garden that is interrupted with tall maple trees. Both the temple’s entrance gate and small main hall have thatched roofs. The small main hall has an attractive round window looking into the beautiful gardens.

Hours: 9:00 to 17:00 (last entry at 16:30)
Closed: Open all year round
Admission: 300 yen (600 yen combination ticket with Daikakuji available)
