本法寺・京都　HONPO-JI / KYOTO
HONPO-JI was founded by Nisshin in 1436.
Many artists, including the multi-artist Honami Koetsu and painters, came and went from Honpo-ji.
The garden is quiet and quaint.

本法寺は1436年に日親上人により創建。
多くの法難を経て、本阿弥光悦親子の支援により再興。
長谷川等伯らも当寺に出入りし、多くの寺宝がある。
本阿弥光悦作の「巴の庭」は国の名勝で趣深い。
