On July 11, 2022, I visited Mizonokuchi, Kanagawa Prefecture. This area has Misonokuchi station west exit shopping street (in Japanese, Mizonokuchi-eki Nishiguchi Syotengai). This shopping street started as a black market after World War II. It still has a very obscene atmosphere, which I like. A part of this place was burned down in 2007. In fact, there is a waterway under this street, which is an illegal construction. Therefore, a fence has been erected at the site of the arson, and new stores cannot be built there. How much longer will this place last as it is deteriorating?
