A Bizarre Natural Phenomenon in Akita (Dragon Eye)

At the end of May and beginning of June every year, a pond at the top of the Hachimantai Aspite Line called Kagami-numa begins melting. The resulting image is that of a dragon’s eye. Definitely stop by and see it as it’s well worth the visit!
