奥入瀬渓流（おいらせけいりゅう）は、青森県十和田市の十和田湖から流れ出る奥入瀬川をさし、約14kmにわたる渓流。ここは、十和田八幡平国立公園に属し、国指定の特別名勝及び天然記念物となっています。渓流沿いにはいくつもの滝が点在することから「瀑布街道」とも呼ばれ、多くの景勝地があります。 ミシュラン・グリーンガイド二つ星に選ばれた水辺の絶景は、表情豊かな渓流が木漏れ日に煌めき、苔むす岩や倒木が絵画的な情景を演出し、自然が織りなす美しさを余すことなく堪能できます。渓流に沿って車道と遊歩道が整備され、豊かな自然や美しい渓流美を求め多くの観光客で賑わう名所です。

The Oirase Keiryu (Oirase Stream) is a 14 km-long mountain stream that flows out of Lake Towada in Towada City, Aomori Prefecture. It is part of the Towada-Hachimantai National Park and is designated as a special scenic beauty and natural monument by the Japanese government. It is also called the “Waterfall Road” because of the many waterfalls scattered along the stream, and there are many scenic spots along the way. The beautiful waterside scenery, which was awarded two stars by the Michelin Green Guide, can be fully appreciated as the expressive mountain stream glistens in the sunlight through the trees, and moss-covered rocks and fallen trees create a picturesque scene. The road and promenade along the mountain stream attract many tourists who come to enjoy the abundant nature and the beauty of the mountain stream.
