Day 3 included visit to the Hill of the Buddha, Sapporo Mt. Moiwa Ropeway and the Shiroikoibito Theme Park. We had to drive up the mountain to get to the Hill of the Buddha. It was a bit of a challenge driving on icy road condition but we made it there and back safely.
While at the Mt. Moiwa Ropeway, we met a Filipino TV and Commercial actor (Dennis Coronel Macalintal) who was visiting Hokkaido with his friend. It was nice meeting up with some of our Kababayan! Getting up to the top of Mt. Moiwa via a cable car, we were able to see Sapporo. Folks say an evening visit would be spectacular, especially during the winter!
A visit to the Shiroikoibito Park reminded us of the United Kingdom. We didn’t quite make it to the Cookie Factory (which is beside the theme park) because we ran out of time. It closed at 1700 hours. We would have love to see and make our own cookie.
I’d say it was a new experience for us visiting a “frozen tundra” environment. LOL!
Hope you enjoy our short video. Thank you everyone. Stay safe.
