1935, New York, USA. And the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. Valuable footage from the 1930s.

The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston (abbreviated as MFA) is one of the largest museums in the United States in Boston, Massachusetts, United States. The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston was founded by local volunteers in 1870 and opened in 1876, the 100th anniversary of American independence. Unlike museums based on the royal and millionaire collections, it is similar to the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York in that it started from scratch and has been run as a private organization. The collection has 500,000 items, “Ancient”, “Europe”, “Asia, Oceania, Africa”, “America”, “Modern”, “Prints, Drawings, Photography”, “Dyeing, Costumes” and “Musical Instruments”. It is divided into 8 departments. Egyptian art and French Impressionist paintings are especially substantial. In 2010, the American Wing, which displays North, Central and South American art, was expanded, increasing the floor space by 28%. The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston is known for its close relationship with Japan, with a large collection of excellent Japanese art such as Buddhist paintings, picture scrolls, ukiyo-e prints, and swords. At the beginning of the 20th century, Tenshin Okakura was in office, and there is a small Japanese garden “Tenshinen” bearing his name on the premises. The adjacent school (English: the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, commonly known as the museum school) was opened in the same year as the museum. Currently, it offers a bachelor’s degree program in collaboration with Tufts University. Admission is US $ 25 for adults. The stub at the time of admission is valid for 10 days, and you can enter the museum free of charge when you return. The Nagoya Boston Museum of Art is a sister museum. The English notation of the museum name is “Museum of Fine Arts, Boston”, not “Boston Museum of Fine Arts”. As a trading port, Boston had a close relationship with Asian countries, and the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston had been focusing on collecting art from early on in Asian regions such as China, Japan, and India. Among them, the collection of Japanese art is known to be the best in quality and quantity outside of Japan.

About “World Vintage Films”

Youtube shows videos taken from the 1910s to the 1980s.
The footage is original and was taken by my family and my friends during the trip.
That’s why many of the videos are taken by Japanese people.

Editing work is first converted from analog to digital. Then remove the unwanted parts and add the original music and subtitles. I don’t want to hide the video, so there are few subtitles.
Monochrome images may be colorized.

Overseas travel, domestic travel, pre-war, war-time, post-war travel around the world.
I have more than 10,000 films that I haven’t released yet. We will continue to edit and distribute it little by little.

There are many valuable images. Especially rare are old footage of less developed countries. At that time, photography equipment was rare. Prewar Japanese footage is also valuable. Old cars and railroads. There is also a video taken from the sky on an airplane. Towns and markets. And the appearance of people. Famous tourist spots and natural scenery. Fashion sense is also interesting unlike the present. Enjoy the old-style landscape.

Most of them are 8mm film, 16mm film, 9.5mm film, 35mm film and so on. It does not cover new types of video, such as VHS.

(Because it translates in multiple languages, I am not good at writing)
