長野県湯の丸高原満開のレンゲツツジAzaleas in full bloom on the Yunomaru Plateau Nagano, Japan

長野県と群馬県の県境付近にある湯の丸高原は浅間連峰の一角に位置します。湯の丸牧場は標高1800m〜2000mに60万株の天然記念物のレンゲツツジが開花します。
湯の丸牧場に放牧された牛たちは、レンゲツツジの葉には有毒な成分があるため他の草花など食べてレンゲツツジだけを残し群生地となりました。

The Yunomaru Plateau near the prefectural border between Nagano and Gunma prefectures is located in a corner of the Asama mountain range. At Yunomaru Ranch, 600,000 natural monument Japanese azaleas bloom at an altitude of 1800m to 2000m.
The cows grazing at Yunomaru Ranch became a colony, leaving only the Japanese azalea after eating other flowers because the leaves of the Japanese azalea have toxic components.
