Karkala:
Karkala [karkala] also known as Karla-in Tulu language, is a town and the headquarters of Karla taluk in the Udupi district of Karnataka, India. Located about 60 km from Mangalore, it lies near the Western Ghats.
The town was called Pandya Nagari during the period of Jain rule, and later became known as Karikallu , then Karkal and then to Karla. And during british era they changed it from Karla to Karkala.
Karla has a number of natural and historical landmarks. It is located at the bottom of Western Ghats covered with greenery year-round. It is a major junction for religious tourists due to its strategic location along the way to Hebri, Sringeri, Kalasa, Horanadu, Udupi, Kollur, Subrahmanya and Dharmasthala.

Ramasamudra:Lake Ramasamudra is a grand scenic area and perfect for multi-day excursion at Karkala. The water of the lake resides in it perennially and is believed by numerous local people that it likewise has astounding recuperating healing qualities. The fundamental supply of water for the town of Karkala originates from this lake. The distance from Karkala to Ramasamudra is generally around 2 km and can be reached by transport buses or private vehicles. The lake was made in the memory of Ramanatha – the son of King Veera Bhairava and sibling of Veerapandya amid the last quarter of the fourteenth century.
Gomateshwara:
Gommateshwara statue, Karkala (ಗೋಮಟೇಶ್ವರ ಪ್ರತಿಮೆ ಕಾರ್ಕಲಾ) is located at Karkala in the state of Karnataka. It is the second tallest statue of Bahubali in the world with the largest statue located at Shravanabelagola.
Gommateshwara statue at Karkala was built in 1432 CE by Veera Pandya Bhairarasa Wodeyar of Santara dynasty on advice from Lalitakirti, the Bhattaraka of Karkala Jain Matha. The statue was inspired from the larger Gommateshwara statue at Shravanabelagola built in 983 CE
Kere Basadi,Waranga
Kere Basadi (meaning: Lake temple) or Chaturmukha Basadi is a Jain temple located in Varanga village in Udupi district of Karnataka, India. This 12th-century temple is situated amidst of a lake giving it the name Kere Basadi (lake temple). The temple is also known Chaturmukha Basadi as it houses a chaturmukha (four-faced) idol of tirthankaras. The temple is situated 26 km from Karkala, another popular Jain centre.

Koti Chennaya Theme Park, in Karkala, a folk museum dedicated to the legendary heroes of the bygone age Koti and Chennaya is drawing curious visitors from far and wide. The ambience, with well laid out landscape, traditional architecture and a museum, transports one back to five centuries.
