Asakusa is a typical sightseeing spot in downtown Tokyo and a popular area among foreigners.

Senso-ji Temple, a landmark of Asakusa, attracts about 30 million visitors a year from Japan and abroad, and is dotted with many historical buildings, including the main hall and the Kaminarimon Gate.
The “Nakamise Street” along the approach to Sensoji Temple is lined with stores selling Asakusa’s unique sweets and freshly made treats, and is bustling with tourists.

Asakusa is also home to long-established gourmet restaurants that carry on traditional flavors, as well as spots where you can experience Tokyo’s downtown culture, so there is no shortage of sightseeing opportunities.
