Left Sapporo after breakfast to our next destination: Hakodate. We brought 2 extra bags as we knew
that we will need it.
The 4 hour train ride seems long but when surrounded by the beauty of nature, time passes by quite quickly. We started off with cityscapes and within an hour, we were surrounded by mountains and lush forests. Another hour into the ride and we saw the sea.
We had the best of both worlds, with the mountains on the right and the sea on the left; snowing on the right and sunny on the left. It was a unique experience to see it snowing on 1 side and not on the other.
Hakodate welcomed us with snowfall, our 4th snowfall for the trip. The hotel we stayed in Hakodate was a short walk from the station.

We rested for a while after checking in and settling down. Then there was a mini blizzard with strong winds. Once it died down, it was kind of late so we walked over to the convenient store to get some food and drinks. The pavement was icy and we kept sliding along the way. Got back to the hotel, had a bite and rested.
Tomorrow we will be a full day of exploring Hakodate. Catch you on the next video.
