Torbole, ein historisches Dorf mit Häusern, die zum Gardasee hin ausgerichtet sind, beeindruckt durch seine besondere Schönheit. Der idyllischste Teil von Torbole lässt heute noch seine Vergangenheit als Fischer- und Holzfällerdorf erahnen. Einen Spaziergang durch das schöne alte Dorfzentrum mit den verwinkelten Gassen und Ecken sollten Sie sich auf keinen Fall entgehen lassen! Sie kommen dabei auch am kleinen Hafen mit den typischen Gebäuden der Vecchia Dogana (15. Jahrhundert) und an der Casa Breust, am Hauptplatz und am Zollhäuschen (Casetta del Dazio) vorbei. Selbst Goethe war auf seiner Italienreise zwischen September 1786 und Mai 1788 ganz hingerissen vom Charme des Dörfchens Torbole.
Durch den durchgehend vorhandenen Wind und das Verbot von Motorbooten, ist Torbole zu einem internationalen Zentrum des Windsurf und Segelsports geworden. Ein wahres Paradies für Wassersportfreunde! Aber auch Wanderer, Kletterer und Mountainbiker finden rund um das Dorf ein breitgefächertes Angebot. Von hier aus startet auch eine der schönsten Wanderungen dieser Gegend, die vom kleinen Tal Santa Lucia Richtung Nago bis zu Füßen des Felsen von Penede führt.
