Today we started from Asakusa Kaminarimon, then walked along the right side of Nakamise Shopping Street to the Senso-ji.

I didn’t know today there is an Akita Kanto Festival in Asakusa, luckily we got a chance to see this amazing festival today! check out the timecode.

Akita Kanto Festival-Giant Golden Ears of Rice Swaying in the Night Sky-
280 kanto poles 10,000 lanterns.
“The Akita Kanto Festival-local people pray for bountiful harvests with giant lanterns which is called Kanto, and sway in the night sky. This festival is one of the most famous summer festival in Tohoku region, and also it is a National Important Intangible Folk Cultural property with a history spanning about 270 years.
