長崎港は、港町・長崎の玄関口として、また離島の多い長崎県の交通の要衝として港中心部の再開発も進んでいます。
松が枝国際ターミナルビルを代表施設として、大型客船が寄港する観光拠点ともなっています。
最近はコロナウイルスの影響で、大型客船の寄港はほとんどありませんが、港町長崎を代表する景色が見られると多くの観光客が足を運んでいます。
長崎水辺の森公園内にある長崎県立美術館は、海外でも活躍する著名な建築家「隈研吾」が手がけた建物で特に人気があります。
