I had other things to do at Matsudo city of Chiba prefecture and while checking the map I noticed a park with funny name 21st Century Forest, so I decided to investigate it.
I started from Shin-Yahashira station, walked a bit around and a long the railroad. I got a bit lost trying to find the entrance into the park, actually there was another entrance closer. But finally I got into the park through the central gate. The park has several zones – the pond, kids playground, open space, birds garden, botanic garden and flower garden with mini-river.
I passed open space and the pond, visited the flower garden, then returned back to the pond along the river, walked along the pond to birds garden. Birds garden requires some appointments to enter, so I returned back along the pond, crossed playground and open space and left through the eastern gate.
Then I walked through residential area to Tokiwadaira station and walked a bit around the station.
