Here is a clinic built in the early Showa era (1930-1940s), abandoned for over 20 years, currently listed for $1 USD. Unlike other “free” houses in rural Japan that are very remote, this one actually sits in a convenient location: walkable to shops, a train station, and a 10 min drive to a famous Onsen.
This video of the house & area tour got quite long so I am going to leave the rest (additional costs for buying a house like this, tax, and restrictions – very important!) to a separate video. Sorry for slacking off but this tour is done entirely in front of my computer!
